PV는 과거사

"Hit Counter 2.0, OR 'Web 2.0 Metrics'"라는 포스트는 웹2.0 때문에 'Page view'의 의미가 없어지고 있다고 이야기합니다.

다들 아시다시피 Ajax 등을 이용한 웹 애플리케이션은 더 이상 페이지 메타포가 아니기 때문에. 그리고 RSS 피드는 신디케이트된 이후 얼마나 보여졌는지 알 수 없기 때문에.

따라서, 웹2.0 서비스의 경우에는 messages viewed, ads requested, acitve users, time on site, clicks 등이 의미있는 숫자들이 될 수 있거라 말합니다. 그리고, 더이상 기존의 comScore나 Nielsen NetRatings가 제공하는 수치가 의미 없으므로 웹2.0을 반영한 metric을 제공하는 것이 또 다른 비즈니스 기회가 될 수 있다고 이야기 합니다.

이제 웹2.0이 PV에 기반한 온라인 광고프로그램 뿐 아니라 랭키닷컴이나 코리아클릭에도 영향을 미치는 군요.

참고하실만한 내용이라...그냥 제가 좀 더 풀어서 말씀드리지요^^

웹 애플리케이션과 웹웨어는 페이지 메타포가 아니므로 페이지 단위로 데이터가 갱신되지 않습니다. 따라서 PV가 의미가 없을 수 있죠. 그보단 보여진 메세지의 수, 클릭된 광고(CPC의 경우죠), 활발한 사용자의 수, 사이트에서 보낸 시간, 클릭한 링크/메뉴 같은 것이 더 의미있는 정보다 라는 이야기 겠죠?

메세지의 수 : 좀 곤란할텐데요.ㅋㅋㅋ
클릭된 광고(CPC의 경우죠) : 가능하죠.
활발한 사용자의 수 : 무슨 기준으로 활발한 사용자를 정할지...사이트마다 알아서...
사이트에서 보낸 시간 : 가능하죠
클릭한 링크/메뉴 :가능하죠

모든 새로운 현상을 이해하고 새로운 툴/지표를 개발하거나, 문제를 해결하는데 있어서는 늘 개념화가 시작이지요. 제가 링크한 포스트에서 개념화를 시작하였으니 물론 그 다음 단계는 '그것을 어떻게 구현할까?' 또 '구현이 가능하기는 한 것일까?' 같은 feasibility와 practicality test를 거쳐야 합니다.

역시 다음 단계로 생각을 바로 진행시켜 나가시는군요.^^
